Today we are honored to have Duane Slick, an amazing artist from Rhode Island whose work you can find around galleries in America and who is currently a professor at the Rhode Island school of design.
How do you think your art changed when you made the move from Iowa to California for your Masters Degree?
Could you describe the process of creating a painting for you? Where do you get creativity from? Is there any background noise, TV, or music going on when you’re painting?
Has your teaching at Rhode Island University influenced your art at all, do you gather any inspiration from your students?
What is your favorite collection of your works? (Coyote, Night, etc.)
How do you stay motivated when working on these large collections of paintings?
